One of my favorite theme park activities is Spot the Kodak Picture Spot. It has become one of our favorite games at Imaginerding. Andrew and I will hold competitions to see who can nab the most during each trip. Here are some from 2008 and 2007.
The spot in Morocco has great design details and beautiful arches.
Outside of Big Thunder is a more rustic spot.

Were you supposed to gather your family around the sign to take a picture? Eventually, Disney decided to add the picture of what you are supposed to be photographing. I love the looks I get, now, when take a picture of a Kodak Picture Spot.

Call me ignorant, but I never realized that each sign had a different style to it. When I glimpse the signs I tend to ignore them because I don’t like “traditional” pictures. I guess I have a reaosn to go look at them now. Thanks for this post!

Very cool! I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing, glad I’m not the only one that thinks it is a bit ironic to take a photo of the photo signs.
As for the strange looks when taking photos, they are best when you are done and they are still standing there trying to figure out what you were shooting!
Great idea; can’t believe I never thought to snap all the Kodak Pictures Spot signage before…looks like I have an assignment on my next trip!
