I ran across this oddly phrased Frontierland Shooting Gallery refurbishment sign. It’s always the little things that we seem to ignore while in the parks. Disney hasn’t always had elaborate signs to alert guests when an attraction was down for refurbishment.
Frontierland Shooting Gallery Refurbishment Sign
This image from the May 14, 1976 Eyes and Ears focuses on the various refurbishments happening at the Magic Kingdom right before the busy summer season of 1976. The idea was to let frontline cast members know which attractions were down and why, so that they could explain to the guests why their favorite attraction was closed. I wonder how many kids were bummed when they saw the Frontierland Shooting Gallery refurbishment sign?
