Disney Springs Thoughts
Disney Springs has gone through an amazing transformation! Over the past 20 years, or so, the area that now makes up Disney Springs has gone through several changes and additions. Almost since Pleasure Island ceased to be hard-ticketed, the entire area has seemed to suffer through multiple identity crises. Is it a shopping area? A nightclub oasis? A dining haven? I’m not even sure that Disney knew what to do with the area once it stopped being the Disney Village.
Over the past few years, Disney has re-imagined most of the area and brought in a new identity. The springs motif works extremely well, and the addition of multiple fountains offers a nice break from what the area used to feel like. Also, with the addition of the larger shopping complex, it’s re-oriented the entire area and changed the focus.
I had a chance to walk around the area and snap photos and take video. Take a look at the video and my thoughts on the Disney Springs shopping and dining area.
Visiting reminded me of being in New orleans Square at Disneyland. It was beautiful and I felt like I was truly in another place; not just a shopping center.
Check out a post I did that explored one of the hidden details that I found: http://www.imaginerding.com/2016/08/21/disney-springs-details-apartments/
