Meet Me In the Magic Kingdom by Kathy Jakobsen

When I ran across Meet Me In the Magic Kingdom by Kathy Jakobsen at a library used book sale, I was pretty excited. I’d never seen a children’s picture book about any Disney park. Here was a book replete with full-color paintings that captured the whimsy and spirit of my favorite theme park in the world.

What do you think about the book? Have you had a chance to read it?

As I mentioned, there aren’t many picture books (or story books) written about Disney parks. And not one with gorgeous paintings that are as intricate as they are spell-biding. The amount of people that Kathy added each page is overwhelming, and it feels s little like Where’s Waldo. It’s also a fond look back at the Magic Kingdom from 1994.
