Kings Island Book Preview
Kings Island, located outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a regional amusement park that is part of the Six Flags chain of theme parks. It is rich in history and traces its roots back to the Coney Island days along the Ohio River. If you’ve spent anytime at ImagiNERDing, then you know that Kings Island was my first amusement park and shaped many of my thoughts on what an amusement park should be.
Kings Island celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023 and I was able to take a trip to Cincinnati to experience the park once again.
Kings Island: A Photographic Journey by Barry R. Hill & John M. Keeter was released in 2021 to concede with the anniversary. I’ve had my eye on the Kings Island book for a while, especially after enjoying Barry’s amazing book on regional amusement parks. I just picked it up (As of this posting, the book is on sale at Rivershore Press.
