Wally Boag Book Review
Do you know about Wally Boag? If you’ve ever visited any of the American Disney parks, then you’ve probably experienced the greatness that is Wally Boag. Boag, a well-known vaudeville star, performed for European royalty before taking a two-week job at Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe. Who knew the two-week stint would last for 27 years!
Recently, with the transition from the Country Bear Jamboree to the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, you’ll notice a tribute to Boag. He is Terrence the Shaker Bear and is clearly modeled after the Clown Prince of Disneyland.
The upturned hat, cowboy chaps, bow-legs, vest, and string tie are trademarks of the vaudeville legend who shaped Disneyland and Walt Disney World history.
Clown Prince of Disneyland Book Review
Let’s take a look at the 2009 Disney book: Wally Boag: Clown Prince of Disneyland.
You can still find Boag as the voice of Jose at both versions of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Also, he voiced the Barker Bird, a character perched outside the Pirates attraction at Disney World for years.
If you get the chance, try to hunt down the tenth anniversary show of the Golden Horseshoe. It is magical.
