Back in the mid-1970’s Disney was trying to find ways of capitalizing on all of the work and planning that happened in the Disney theme parks in relation to transportation. They created Community Transportation Systems (CTS) in order to sell the PeopleMover systems to municipalities and business. I imagine that CTS also helped push a lot of the ideas forward for EPCOT Center.
Imagine seeing this modular car WEDWay Peoplemover at your local mall in the late 1970s or early 1980s!
